On St. Patrick’s Day, the West Virginia Institute for Spirituality (WVIS) celebrated over 20 years of service with our own Irish Rose, Sister Molly Maloney. Sister Molly is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. A member of the sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity, Sister Molly has spent time in Berkeley, California as a campus minister. She returned to Charleston in March of 2002 to work with WVIS.

In her spiritual practice, she offers individual and group spiritual direction, Ignatian silent directed retreats, and the 19th Annotation. She is a certified massage therapist and has conducted numerous programs offering spiritual guidance and healing movement, massage, and meditation.

Sister Molly represents WVIS in the Celebrate the Spirit offering – a recovery and addiction healing program in collaboration with St. Francis Hospital. She is a member of the WVIS faculty and works as a certified supervisor for individual spiritual directors, interns, and students. In her “spare” time, Sister Molly likes to garden and walk.

Emails congratulating Sister Molly can be sent to her at WVIS, 1601 Virginia Street East, Charleston, West Virginia, 25311
