It is a privilege to be part of WVIS’ ministry, Celebrate the Spirit (CTS). CTS is a group of dedicated individuals who celebrate recovery and promote the spirituality of the Twelve Steps. Every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., volunteers have the opportunity to meet and listen to the stories of the patients at the Addiction Healing Center at St. Frances Hospital and to share our experience, strength, and hope.
WVIS is grateful for the hospitality of Pastor Randy Richardson, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the counselors at the Healing Center. Because of their commitment, CTS is able to meet for four times a year for 3 hours at Trinity’s Fellowship Hall. At our last gathering on August 26th, over 60 people gathered for a sacred time, “Reaching Out: Making Friends in Recovery.” These special gatherings integrate the Healing Center patients and alumni with the recovery community. We are grateful for the people working behind the scenes who created these events that support the journey of those in recovery. It is a GIFT to experience the increasing number of participants with each celebration!
